Tom Baker will play Tom Baker in a new series

Tom Baker

Baker’s End promises to be every bit as funny and offbeat as Tom himself.

Doctor Who legend Tom Baker is about to play the role of a lifetime – himself.
He’s the lead in a new audio series, Baker’s End – which also stars Doctor Who companion Katy Manning.

The series opens as actors from across the land descend mournfully upon the remote English village of Happenstance… for Baker’s funeral.

His one-time co-star Suzy Goshawk (Manning) is swiftly sucked into a vortex of intrigue involving Tom’s housekeeper Mrs Frimbly (Susan Jameson) and the local vicar, with no-one quite able to agree upon how Tom met his disastrous end…

Soon, Suzy begins to suspect that something murksome and swervish is going on…
“It’s so strange and funny and brisk, so brisk – I laughed a lot,” Baker said. “In the twilight, I’m still looking for fun and the company of jolly companions.
“Katy Manning is always dynamite, and Susan Jameson is of course wonderful. I’m looking forward to it all.”

The first in the series, ‘The King of Cats’, will be released on CD and download on September 2, 2016, and will be available from www.bafflegab.co.uk or Amazon. Further episodes will be released every two months.
