She may be wearing a mask but the mystery woman posing with Doctor Who won’t fool Game of Thrones fans – they’ll recognise her as Arya Stark.
Maisie Williams, 18, swaps swords for pistols to appear as a masked bandit in the BBC sci-fi classic.

It will be Maisie’s second appearance in Doctor Who and she teams up with Peter Capaldi to hunt for a mysterious purple jewel.

She will star in The Woman Who Lived.
A masked Maisie can be heard saying in the short clip: “Could it be we are looking for the same prize?”

It’s an action-packed trailer which sees the two fighting against common enemies and trying to escape trouble.
For months there has been mounting speculation about the identity of Maisie’s character and it was finally revealed.

After making her debut in Saturday’s Doctor Who episode The Girl Who Died, the 18-year-old plays the Viking Ashildr.
Maisie said about her Doctor Who role: “It’s quite daunting to be a part of such an iconic series, but everyone was so lovely and they are such a great team, I slotted in straight away.

“I can’t wait to see what the fans think of it.”
Peter Capaldi, who plays the Doctor, described her cameo on the show as “cosmic”.
