PETER CAPALDI: ALIEN LIFE WILL BE DISCOVERED ANY MOMENT NOW

Peter Capaldi on Doctor Who: The Fan Show – The Aftershow

In the latest edition of Doctor Who: The Fan Show – The Aftershow, Peter Capaldi has been discussing the most recent Series 10 episode, Smile.

Whilst chatting with host Christel Dee about alien life forms, the Twelfth Doctor actor is asked if he believes that aliens exist. This was Peter’s reply:

“I think so. The thing is, they’re going to discover alien life any moment now

but it’s going to be like a germ or something. Something that’s not really exciting or a shrub! It’s going to be the most astonishing thing because of what it means.

I think it’s remarkably arrogant to think we’re the only life in this infinite universe; that this is the only planet where these elements have come together to create this thing that we are.

I can’t imagine that there are not other variations out there.“

We look forward to Peter writing the story, Doctor Who and the Planet of the Shrubs

Elsewhere in the interview Peter disagrees that his Doctor is like a penguin with its arse on fire and believes him to be more of a gazelle, discusses architecture and his “anxious” hair in the Spanish climate when filming the most recent Series 10 episode, Smile.
