CLASSIC DOCTOR WHO ON NEW US STREAMING SERVICE BRITBOX

Doctor Who on BritBox

Whovians, rejoice! BritBox, the new digital streaming service launched earlier this month by BBC Worldwide and ITV, has released the largest digital catalogue of ‘classic’ Doctor Who available in the United States.

As the only subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) home to the classic era (that’s 1963 – 1989, in case you didn’t know!), BritBox will provide users with the ability to relive the expansive story arcs and incredible journeys of Doctors one to seven through space and time.

Subscription to BritBox is just $6.99 per month.

In addition to housing these classic episodes, BritBox also offers several entry points into the world of Classic Who to provide every type of fan – regardless of their knowledge of the Whoniverse – with an opportunity to enjoy the expansive archive. The catalogue is chronologically organized by Doctor, allowing fans to find their favorite moments starting from the very beginning, or discover new ones.

BritBox will also feature specially curated playlists like “Monsters” and “Companions,” so viewers can take a trip back in time to witness the Doctor’s most epic battles through the years against classic foes like Daleks, Cybermen, and Autons.

As part of their effort to offer fans the ultimate ‘classic’ Doctor Who experience, BritBox will also soon feature audio of the “lost” episodes, which have not been seen for decades. A monthly subscription is $6.99 — more details here.

BritBox is the largest subscription video-on-demand streaming service, with the most comprehensive collection of British television across all genres available anywhere in the United States.
