Candy Jar Books is pleased to announce a brand-new exclusive Lucy Wilson book, The Games Master, written especially for Barry Card and Collector Con 2026 by Paul Wines.
The event takes place at Barry Memo Arts Centre on Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th May 2026. Known to fans as B3C, the Barry-based comic con promises an exciting weekend celebrating television, film, science fiction, comics, cosplay, collectables, and pop culture.
Lucy Wilson, granddaughter of the legendary Brigadier Alistair Gordon Lethbridge-Stewart, and her loyal best friend Hobo have become hugely popular with readers through a range now spanning more than thirty books. Together they have battled monsters, aliens, and mysterious threats from their base in Ogmore-by-Sea – and now they are heading to Comic Con!

Barry Card & Collector Con 2026 has already announced an impressive guest line-up, including Paul McGann, Colin Baker, Nicola Bryant, Chris Barrie, Hattie Hayridge and Norman Lovett, with further announcements still to come.

Candy Jar Books author Philip Bates – known for titles including Just Sarah, Companions, The Benton Files and the forthcoming Lucy Wilson release The Three Lucys – will also be attending.
Visitors to B3C can also enjoy a packed programme of guest panels, traders, cosplay, screen-accurate props, iconic vehicles, and an Artist & Author Alley celebrating local creators and independent talent.
