The BBC have confirmed that the fourth episode ‘The Interstellar Song Contest’, written by Juno Dawson, will air at 7:10pm on Saturday 17th May, with the episode available on iPlayer the same day from 8am in the UK and Disney+ internationally. The run time is 47 minutes.
It is hoped that The FA Cup Final which takes place earlier in the day doesn’t go into overtime as this may cause schedule issues for Doctor Who, particularly as The Eurovision Song Contest also takes place the same evening with both events having a fixed time-slot which can’t be altered due to their international nature.
The synopsis for the episode reads:
“The Doctor’s quest to get Belinda back home to Earth leads to a space station hosting the famous song contest. But a harmless night of fun soon becomes a battle to survive.”
