Billie Piper is getting emotional about a special Doctor Who anniversary
Today marks a very sad day for Doctor Who fans around the world – and no, it’s not just because it’s the first Saturday in 3 months that they haven’t had a new episode of the series to watch on BBC1 (though that also stings).
Rather, it’s because today is also the 11th anniversary of one of modern Doctor Who’s saddest moments, when David Tennant’s Tenth Doctor was tragically forced to bid farewell to Billie Piper’s Rose Tyler after she was trapped in a parallel world for 2006 series finale Doomsday – a fact so sad that Piper herself has been struck by “the feels” according to a post on Twitter.

And of course, Piper’s tribute to the heartrending episode has opened the floodgates for a generation of traumatised fans on Twitter who were probably JUST getting over the whole thing.
